Leopard Killed In ‘Mob Fury’ In South Kashmir’s Pulwama

Srinagar- A leopard was killed in mob fury after the animal attacked and injured at least two villagers in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Wednesday.

Official sources said that leopard appeared in Pathan village of Pulwama today and attacked the villagers, in which two of them were injured. Later people assembled and attacked the leopard leading to his death, reported news agency GNS.

DFO Suhail Ahmad confirmed said that the animal was killed in “mob fury.”

“There are reports so far that two villagers were injured by the animal. Subsequently mob assembled and the leopard was killed in mob fury,” he said, adding, “An FIR will be registered while post-mortem would be done.”
