Srinagar: An Alliance of private schools on Tuesday rubbished media reports that the transportation facility will not be provided to the students on the reopening of educational institutions in March next month.
In a brief meeting with Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdary who is currently holding charge of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, the members of Private School Association strongly condemned the statement issued by certain individuals stating that the school buses will not ply when the educational institutions reopen on March1st, 2021, a spokesperson said.
In the meeting, he said, it was also informed that the association had published a press release in newspapers in which it had reiterated their resolve to make all possible efforts to get students back to schools which includes making school buses operational on all routes from March.
“However a request was put forth urging the government to have a candid look and resolve the issue of pending bus fee since August 2019 amicably in order to ensure smooth running of school buses,” he added.
