Srinagar: Police station Nageen has sought help from the public for identifying a masked person whose attack on a government servant was caught on a video that is making rounds on social media.
Police said it received a written complaint from BMO Hazratbal stating that one person (unknown) manhandled the staff member of the hospital and misbehaved with them thereby deterred a public servant from discharging his official duties. A video in this regard also went viral in which a masked man wearing a cap could be seen fighting with another man (Staff member).
Upon receipt of this complaint, FIR No 193/20 U/S 353 IPC was registered in PS Nigeen & investigation set into motion, police said.
Since the accused hasn’t been identified nor any entry has been registered in the hospital entry book, manhunt has been launched to nab the accused, it said.
“All efforts are being made to arrest the accused and also the general public is also requested to help PS Nageen (Srinagar) in identifying the culprit so that he could be arrested for taking law into his hands”.
