SRINAGAR – At least six people went missing on Thursday after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into Chenab river in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
The vehicle that was on way to Jammu from Srinagar rolled down into Chenab river near Cafteria Modh this evening, news agency GNS reported.
Amid unabated heavy rains, police, quick response team and people have launched a rescue operation, they said.
A senior officer of the administration told GNS that army’s help has also been sought.
