Truck Driver From Rajasthan Killed In Shopian: Police

SRINAGAR – A truck driver from Rajasthan was shot dead in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday evening, police said.

“Sharif Khan of village Uba in district Bharatpur of Rajasthan was shot dead by militants in Shirmal village of Shopian on Monday evening,” police said adding that the deceased was a truck driver by profession and was in the village for apple loading.

“The villagers tried to save the civilian, but in turn militants thrashed the villagers as well and committed this crime,” police said.
