SRINAGAR A brief exchange of firing was reported between militants and forces after forces laid siege around Dehruna area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday morning.
Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 19RR and SOG Anantnag launched a search operation in Dehruna.
A senior police officesaidthat there was some initial exchange firing with militants when forces approached towards suspected after having reliable inputs about the presence of some militants, reported news agency GNS.
The officer further said that firing has stopped from both sides but we have tightened the cordon and have sealed all exit points, the officer added
