Editor Uqab Manzoor Anjum Bereaved

SRINAGAR — Mother of senior journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Urdu daily Uqab, Manzoor Anjum passed away Friday morning after a prolonged illness.

Family sources said that Misra Bano was unwell for a long time and breathed her last at Aaloochi Bagh residence at around 8: 30 Friday morning.

A large number of people participated in the funeral of deceased that was offered there after Friday congregational prayers.

A cross-section of people have expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. 

Kashmir Editors Guild in a statement expressed solidarity with the bereaved, particularly Manzoor Anjum and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. 

Besides KEG, other media bodies, including photojournalists and Kashmir Press Club have condoled the demise and extended sympathies to Mr Anjum.
