SrinagarMuslim Cricket Club beat Srinagar City Club by seven wickets in the summit clash to script title glory in Gani Kashmiri Super League played at Rajouri Kadal stadium Srinagar on Wednesday.
Batting first City Club were able to score only 143 runs in allotted overs. Fazil with 51 was the highest scorer for the batting side while as Asif Khan complied 36. Adil Pollard and Khalid took three wickets each for Muslim Cricket Club and Jehangir took two.
Muslim Cricket Club chased down the target in 19 overs for the loss of three wickets. Muzamil with 55 was the highest scorer for the winners while as Jehangir scored 18 and Yasin Dar made 24.
Muzamil for his match winning knock was awarded man of the match. Ishtiyaq Elahi (Robby) was awarded best batsman for scoring 280 runs in tournament and was awarded Rs: 5000 while as Mujtaba Rizvi best bowler for taking 16 wickets. he also received Rs: 5000 award . Winning team was awarded Rs: 50,000 while as runner-up team was given Rs: 30,000.
Muhammad Shafi Khan, Naseer Ahmad Bhat, Umer Mir, Naseer Sheikh and Haroon Rasheed were guests on the occasion and presented trophies to wining and runner up teams.
