Two-day District Pulwama Thang-ta Championship concludes

SrinagarA two-day district Puwlama Thang-ta Championship 2017 concluded in South Kashmirs Pampore town on Tuesday.

The championship held at Government Degree College Pampore was organised by District Pulwama Thang-ta Association with Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council sponsoring the event.

As many as 250 players across various schools, clubs, academies and colleges across district Pulwama vied for the top honours across two days with a decent crowd turning up for both inaugural and award ceremonies,

Divisional Officer Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council Nuzhat Ara was the chief guest at the award ceremony.

Organizing secretary Thang-ta Federation Sajad Ahmad Bhat, Principal GDC Pampore Nusrat Jawdani, Professor Jauhar Qadoosi, District Thang-ta, J&K State Sports Council officers and other guests were also present. The dignitaries were handed over the mementoes by the organizing committee. Journalist Bilal Habib was also awarded.
