Andrabi pays glowing tributes to Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA)

Srinagar—Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi Saturday said that Third Islamic Caliph, Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) had immensely contributed to Islam by compiling the Holy Quran.

While paying tributes to Hazrat Usman (RA) on the eve of His Martyrdom Day, the Minister said that he was bestowed with the title of ‘Ghani’ by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), for spending all his wealth for the welfare of Islam and Muslim Ummah.

The Martyrdom Day is being observed on Sunday across the world as well as in the Valley at Ziyarats of Hazratbal, Jenab Sahib Soura, Asar Sharief Shehri Kailashpora, Kabamarg Anantnag, Asaar Sharief Pethi Muqaam Beerwah and Aham Sharief Bandipora.

On the occasion, faithful will be treated to the glimpse of Holy relics at the shrines followed by special prayers, salutations and supplications.

Meanwhile, Andrabi directed the concerned Departments to ensure arrangements at the all the religious places where a large number of devotees are expected to pay their obeisance.

He called for making proper cleanliness and sanitation measures in and around the shrines to facilitate the devotees. He also directed SRTC to provide hassle free transport services to the devotees on Sunday.
