SrinagarDeputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Thursday convened a meeting to review the status of ladies special bus service operated by SRTC in the City.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, General Manager (Ops) JKSRTC Kashmir and other concerned.
It was informed that the special buses (pink buses) being operated by the SRTC in various areas are running smoothly without any break. These buses are being operated from Lalchowk in the city centre to different places of the city.
The Deputy Commissioner issued directions to the GM JKSRTC Srinagar to get the routes and timings published in the leading daily newspapers so that the general public is made aware of the operation of lady special buses.
He also directed the JKSRTC officials to ensure operation of few such buses in the evening hours during the holy month of Ramadan in addition to routine services for the convenience of the general public.
