SRINAGAR : Srinagar Police in collaboration with J&K Forest Department organized a plantation drive at Police Public School Bemina, Srinagar, today.
DIG CKR Shri Ghulam Hassan Bhat, who is also the Administrative officer of the School, Conservator Forests Srinagar Shri Javaid Ahmad Andrabi, SSP Srinagar Shri Imtiyaz Ismail, Divisional Forest Officer Srinagar Shri Mukhtar Ahmad, Principal P.P School Bemina Shri Tazim Wahidi along with students of the school planted trees shrubs, plants during the drive. About 3000 trees mainly conifers will be planted in this drive in collaboration with J&K Forest Department.
Speaking on the occasion Conservator Forest Srinagar Shri Javid Ahmad said that the aim of this drive was to make students aware about the plantation and our responsibility to nurture it.
DIG CKR Shri Ghulam Hassan Bhat while speaking on the occasion elaborated the importance of plantation and its protection. He also highlighted the importance of trees in human life. He also exhorted upon the students to inculcate the habit of planting trees.
Among others, SP South Shri ShriRam, DySP Hqr Srinagar Shri Irshad Rather SDPO West Sh Furqan Qadir and other police officers were present on the occasion. (PTK)
