SRINAGAR: AIP supremo and M.L.A Langate Er. Rashid has asked Narendra Modi to apologize to people of J&K for Indias failure for not being able to construct a national highway of international standard between Jammu and Kashmir, despite claiming J&K to be Indias integral part.
In a statement issued today Er. Rashid said it is strange that BJP government and its proxies in J&K are trying to take credit for constructing Nashri Tunnel on so called national highway, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on 2nd of April. The way people within J&K and elsewhere are being given a perception that New Delhi has done some big favour to state by constructing tunnel, is shameful and denial of the fact that New Dehli has not being able to provide even a single all-weather connectivity between Jammu and Srinagar during last 70 years.
The one point answer to political aspirations and right to self determination is being given that we are giving you financial packages. But neither these packages are any alternative to aspirations of people, nor do they deserve any appreciation for the reason they have been used for giving a notion that Kashmiris are beggars and India is giving them concessions. Had just the packages and creating assets been alternate to the political resolutions, then Britishers would have given Indians the best development. Indians cant deny that the prestigious assets including presidential house and parliament have been constructed by Britishers.
As such New Dehli has nothing to celebrate by claiming that providing a tunnel for few kilometers on the road of death and destruction, it has given some favour to people of Jammu and Kashmir, who need only one package that is giving them internationally accepted right to self determination. Er. Rasheedalso ridiculed Home Minister Rajnath Singh for his remarks in the parliament that Pakistan is misleading Kashmiri youth by involving them in stone pelting. He said infact Rajnath Singh is misleading Indians by not telling them truth about Kashmir and not confessing that due to Indias broken promises and false assurances, every Kashmir has now realised that India doesnt listen to peaceful voices. He said that no one should be surprised if in near future India may accuse Pakistan of importing stones instead of guns from the other side of LOC.
