Srinagar: Asserting that Jammu & Kashmir has seen worst of times, Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and In-Charge Srinagar-Budgam Parliamentary Constituency, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari said ever since the inception of the PDP led by its leader Mufti Mohammed Sayeed it has all along strived for creating a congenial atmosphere to ensure a durable peace, stability and development in the State besides ensuring dignity and honour of its people.

Reiterating that the present acrimonious atmosphere will end soon to allow the alliance to take forward the set objectives for a better future and political stability in the region, Ansari said that part is committed to the agenda of sustainable peace process.

“Emergence of the PDP has changed the political discourse in the entire South Asian region and the party will continue with its efforts for building an atmosphere of peace, economic and political stability,” he said.

Launching a scathing attack on the National Conference-Congress alliance, he said that their alliance is a constant reminder, a manifestation of historic betrayals that have been meted out to this state.

Addressing functionaries of the party he asked them to work with zeal for fulfilling the party’s agenda of development and political reconciliation in the State so that democratic institutions are revived for the betterment of the people. (KNS)
