Srinagar: A Contingent Paid Worker working in Department of Education Jammu and Kashmir from past 27 years has alleged that Chief Education Officer Anantnag sidelined him and in his place, regularized blue-eyed persons.
Muhammad Shafi Hajam, presently working at Middle School Malaknag Anantnag said that High Court had directed Education Department to absorb all the 111 Contingent Paid Workers. He said that instead of absorbing 111 CPWs, Chief Education Officer regularized only 79 of them out of which 23 are without certificates while 8 are minors. Despite being the senior most worker, I was not included in the list. My pleas and repeated requests has gone to deaf ears. Nobody listens to me while Chief Education Officer Anantnag refuses to meet me, Hajam told news agency CNS adding that the matter should be probed.
I deserve to be in the list. Chief Education Officer must answer to me and should be taken to task for his wrongdoing, Hajam said.
When contacted, Chief Education Officer Anantnag Ghulam Rasool Shah suggested that complainant should knock at the doors of Vigilance Organization. When there will be vacancy I will absorb him. If he has any doubts, he is free to approach Vigilance Organization, Shah said.
