Srinagar: Four militants, two army men and a civilian have been killed in an encounter between militants and government forces in southern Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Army spokesman in Srinagar, Rajesh Kalia said that four militants were killed by security forces in Nagbal village in Frisal area in Kulgam district in an encounter that began early Sunday morning.
Kalia said that two army soldiers were also killed in the encounter by militants, while three more army men were injured.
Meanwhile Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said that a house owner who is a civilian was also killed in the encounter.
