Scores injured after clashes erupt at encounter site in Kulgam

Kulgam: Scores of civilians were injured after massive clashes erupted around the encounter site in Frisal,Yaripora area of  Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

Four militants, two army men and a civilian were killed in the gunfight which started in the wee hours on Sunday.
 

Reports said that locals from the surrounding areas started marching towards the encounter site and attempted to break the cordon.

The government forces swung into action and fired tear smoke shells on them.

Locals alleged that forces also fired bullets on the protesters. 

“At least ten youth received injuries in front of me,” a local said, “and many of them have received bullets.”

Local sources said that the injured have been shifted to the different hospitals and violent protests were going on in the area.

Meanwhile clashes also erupted in Lalchowk ,Ganjiwara ,Achabal adda and Janglatmandi areas of Anantnag district
