Srinagar: Inundation of the city roads caused by the melting of snow has resulted in severe hardships to the Srinagarities saying, that the administration has ignored them at fronts.
Inhabitants of several city areas including Habba Kadal, Khanyar, Barbar Shah, Noorbagh and several other areas said that they are facing tremendous hardships due to the inundation of the interior roads in their respective areas.
Accusing the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) for ignoring their plights, the residents of city areas here have demanded immediate redressal of their grievances.
They said that the chocked drainage in their areas usually led to their sufferings. The authorities must not ignore our plights and should immediately repair the chocked drainage system, they said.
Inhabitants said that they approached the higher ups several times in this regard but unfortunately all in vain.
The residents later appealed higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest. (KNS)
