Srinagar: The divisional administration of Kashmir issued avalanche warning, for higher areas of Kashmir valley, district headquarters have asked to take all precautionary measures for the safety of people. All the Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir have setup control rooms and asked people to contact in need.
The avalanche warning was issued for higher reaches and avalanche-prone areas of Kashmir from February 03.
Locals of Sonamarg, Ganderbal, Gurez, Bandipora, Uri, Keran, Karnah, Machil, Tangdhar, Budnamal, Jumgund Nowgam, Kumkadi, higher reaches of Kralpora and other sloppy areas of the valley have been asked to take necessary precaution while moving outside their homes and refrain from venturing outside during the night hours for their own safety.In case of emergency contact:
