SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, today convened a meeting to take stock of the arrangements being put in place for forthcoming Eid-e- Milad-un-Nabi (Saw).
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer PDD, R&B, SE PDD, General Manager SRTC, RTO, besides officials of SMC, LAWDA, Police, Traffic, , Fire & Emergency Services, PDD, PHE, Health, SRTC and Wakf Board attended the meeting.
Minister urged the concerned to work wholeheartedly so that lakhs of devotees who visit different shrines in Kashmir, particularly Hazratbal, Jenab Sahab Soura and Kailashpora, on Milad days don’t feel any inconvenience.
During the meeting, the Minister was informed that for the convenience of the devotees, SRTC has arranged 70 passenger buses in Srinagar and direct bus service has also been made functional from all district headquarters. The officials of RTO and Traffic police gave the detailed presentation of the route plans to tackle the huge rush of traffic on the eve of Milad.
