SRINAGAR: The parents and students of Delhi Public School Budgam, Thursday accused the principal of the school of “misbehaving” with them.
A parent said that the director of the school had called a parents’ meet to discuss about the payment of fees for the three months during which Kashmir witnessed complete shutdown.
During the meeting it was also decided that “the exams would not be conducted for now”.
“However, when we met the principal of the school, Mehfooz Aslam, he informed that the school will conduct the exams on time and the venue of the exam shall be Joggers Park in Rajbagh area of Srinagar city,” the parent, who wished to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, said.
A student who was witness to one of the meetings with the principal said that the principal misbehaved with some parents including the females.
“The principal was enraged when the parents told him that the director of the school has said that the exams won’t be held for now. He was in his car. He came down from his vehicle and started shouting and misbehaving with parents,” the student claimed.
Pertinently, a video has gone viral on social networking sites wherein the “principal is seen misbehaving with the parents” including a sister of one of the students.
Meanwhile, the students have accused the principal of harassing them “for not succumbing to his tactics” of conducting exams.
“Even 30% of syllabus has not been completed yet and the principal wants us to appear in the exams for the whole syllabus. This is ridiculous,” the student said.
