Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has claimed that it arrested a Kashmiri woman along with her two minor children while she was smuggling high quality hashish from North Kashmir to Mumbai city.
The Bureau has identified the Kashmiri woman as Mehbooba Kullu who hails from Naninara Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
According to an official from Narcotics Control Bureau, besides the Kashmiri woman another woman and a smuggler both residents of Malard Mumbai have been arrested. “The Kashmiri woman and two other smugglers were arrested from Boravili railway station when she was handing over consignment of 44 kg of hashish to the local drug smuggler Sajad Sheikh alias Pappu.
“The arrested woman used her own children to guise the illegal trade and delivered the drug consignments to the Mumbai receiver inside long distance trains. They never halted in Mumbai for more than two hours,” the official said adding that during investigation the Kashmiri woman revealed that she was in trade from last six months and visited Mumbai twice in a month.
