Kargil: Hundreds of people, including a large number of students attended Fateha ceremony of late religious leader Sheikh Muhammad Hussain Zakiri here on Thursday.
The ceremony was organised by Shaheed Murtaza Muttahari Schools, an affiliate of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust.
Students from above 4th standard of all the 14 branches of the school along with their teachers and management members took part.
IKMT Chairman Maulana Husain Lutfi and MLA Kargil Haji Asghar Hussain Karbalaie and various other dignitaries were also present.
The program started with recitation of holy Qur'an and followed by joint recital of the Qura'nic verses by the audience including children.
Students from Aqchamal, Choskore, Pashkum branches paid tributes to late leader and highlighted various contributions made by Sheikh Zakiri to uplift the backward society of Kargil in all socio academic fields.
Besides Nishat Hussain and Shujat Ali, students Shahid Ali spoke on the occasion.
