SRINAGAR: Asking Umar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti to clear their stand on nature of Kashmir dispute, independent MLA from Langate, Er Rasheed Sunday said that Indian state may be celebrating the death of Burhan but forgot that it had lost the bigger battle in Kashmir.
What forced masses from Karna to Chkandabag to take to streets without caring for their lives has proven that Burhan ruled hearts and India ruled heads, he said while addressing a gathering at Qalamabad Langate where he offered funeral prayers in absentia for the martyrs.
Why lakhs attended his funeral and why has the government been left with just one option to kill Kashmiris is because the GOI does not treat Kashmiris as its own people, he said. Either the GOI should declare every Kashmiri a terrorist or must understand that J&K problem is beyond law and order issue and needs a resolution.
Unless India does not accept the disputed nature of J&K, from Nehru to Modi every Indian ruler is responsible for every single killing in Kashmir, Er Rasheed said.
