SRINAGAR: Amid massive protests and restrictions people in different parts of Kashmir Valley including summer capital Srinagar offered funeral prayers in absentia to slain rebel commander Burhan Wani and his two associates Sartaj Ahmed and Parvez Ahmed on Satur¬day. The call for holding of such prayers was forwarded by separatist leaders including Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Geelani.
The funeral prayers in absentia according to news agency CNS were offered in Central, South and North Kashmir. Re¬ports said that large number of people offered funeral prayers in absentia at Theed Harwan, Humhama, Konusa Bandipora, Sopore, Batapora Hazratbal, Nagam and Badipora, Chadoora, Barsoo, Kanabal Ganderbal, Delina Baramulla, Lalpora Kupwara, Palhalan, Pattan, Veer Chattabal, Shanmohalla Habak, Natipora, Chanapora, Bhadra Gund, Zainakadal, Nawab Bazar and many other areas.
