Bollywood, Hollywood stars call for love over hate after Orlando shooting


Rishi Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor and several other Bollywood celebrities on Monday paid condolences to the victims of the gay club shooting in Florida, US

Fifty people were killed and 53 more injured, making the terrorist act the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen DeGeneres, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian, among others, too, took to social media to send their love and condolences for the victims of the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando.

Shocked by the senseless tragedy in Orlando. We must stand together against hate and intolerance.

“Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson called the shooting a “senseless and horrific tragedy.”

“Heartbroken for my LGBTQ brothers & sisters. Time for change. #GunControlNow,” he wrote.
