SRINAGAR: BHSS Palopora beat Isme Azam School 1-0 to lift Youth Services and Sports U-17 Boys Football tournament for Eidgah Zone played at Eidgah ground on Friday.
The two day tournament saw eight teams vying for the title. The tournament, according to a statement from organisers, was inaugurated by ZPEO Eidgah Shahzada Farooq.
Earlier BHSS Plapora defeated New Bonivant School by 6-0 in the first semis of the day and Isme Azam School had better off Wisdom Public School by a huge margin of 5 goals in the second semis.
Later the prize distribution ceremony was held in which winners and runners were awarded with certificates and medals. The prize distribution ceremony was also attended by senior physical staff of the department.The selected players from the tournament will have to participate in inter-zonal level tournaments.
