Srinagar: In view of the growing environmental deterioration in the state, the College has started a massive plantation drive in the campus. The Week long plantation programme, organized by the NSS Unit / Landscape Committee of the college, was inaugurated by the worthy District Development Commissioner, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone by planting a Chinar Sapling in the campus. The Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammad Aslam Baba, also planted a Chinar sapling in the campus and insisted all the faculty members and the students to participate wholeheartedly in the programme and to contribute their bit in protecting the fragile environment of the state. He also insisted the young minds to spread the message and educate the common people about the importance of plantation. (CNS)
