SRINAGAR: Dismissing contradictory reporting about his maintaining silence during the high level party meeting on Sunday and not opposing alliance of the party with BJP, senior PDP leader and MP Tariq Hameed Karra said that on hand that media has reported that he miantianed silence and on the another hand reported that he did not oppose the alliance with BJP.
It is not understandable that how could I do both the things simultaneously. When I did not speak a single word during the meeting, how did the reports infer that I either supported or opposed the alliance with BJP? It is a figment of imagination, and the reports are contradictory, the senior PDP leader said when contacted by KNS.
Keeping silence does not mean I endorse the alliance with BJP. A section of media has reported that I did not speak during the meeting, and at the same time have reported I did not support or oppose the alliance with BJP.
Karra had attended the top level meeting of the party for the first time as he had stayed away from all the party meetings, core group meetings, coordination committee meetings of PDP and BJP and all government functions after the PDP-BJP government was formed as he has vehemently opposed the alliance with BJP.
While maintaining his fears and apprehension for continuing relations with RSS-backed BJP, Karra said that he will very soon meet the party president, Mehbooba Mufti.
I have already said that I will very soon meet the part president one to one to apprise her of my concerns and fears about continuing alliance with BJP, Karra told KNS
