SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Monday convened a meeting to review progress with regard to preparations of Adhar Cards and pendency in Srinagar district.
The meeting was informed that out of total digitalized population of 9.20 Lakh in district Srinagar 5,94,850 Biometric registrations have been captured as on date in the first round, out of which 2.50 Lakh Adhar Cards have been generated up to January, 02 2016. It was further informed that 2nd round to capture the remaining population has been initiated.
The meeting was also told that 21 Permanent Enrolment Centres have been established across the District to cover the pending population.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar directed the concerned agency to expedite the process of Biometric capturing in the District Srinagar.
