Srinagar: Police today foiled the march of National Conference (NC) youth workers to Lal Chowk against implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in State.
According to reports, scores of NC workers led by president of Youth Wing Salman Sagar assembled at partys Nawa-e-Subh headquarters and took out a rally towards to Lal Chowk.
Holding placards and shouting anti-government slogans, the protesters marched through busy Residency Road but a large posse of police stopped them near Kothi Bagh Police Station and urged them to return back. However the agitating NC workers defied police orders and attempted to march ahead.

Prior to his detention, Salman Sagar said that Muft Muhammad Sayeed led government has failed on every front and people are facing hardships due to the policies of present dispensation.
