SRINAGAR: Minister for Horticulture, Hajj & Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri Thursday emphasized on formulating schemes that not only cover the immediate needs of the people but also cater to future demands also.
Chairing a meeting here to review the progress of various state and centrally sponsored schemes in I&FC and PHE departments in District Anantnag, Veeri said prospective planning should be made an inherent part of any scheme during its formulation phase.
The Minister said schemes including water supply schemes should also take into consideration future expansion and growth in population so that people face no difficulties on account of potable drinking water availability.
