CRPF-SOG Raid Pulwama Chowk
Pulwama: Panic gripped South Kashmirs Pulwama town after Para-military Central Reserve Police Force and counter insurgency squad of Special Operation Group cordoned off Muran Chowk and launched a search operation at a time when the market was abuzz with activity.
A police official said that there were inputs about the presence of most wanted Lashkar-e-Taiba militant Abu Dujan alias Abu Osaka who carries a bounty of Rs 10 lakh and is wanted for Udhampur attack in the Muran area. Accordingly SOG and CRPF jointly cordoned off the area and launched search operation. The identity cards of suspects were thoroughly checked while houses, shopping complexes and shops were also searched, the official said.
Reports said that during the two hours long operation, traffic came to stand still in the town, however, no arrests were made during the operation.
