Mufti following footprints of Omar

Resolution of Kashmir issue more important than packages
SRINAGAR: MLA Langate and AIP Supremo Er Rashid has asked Omar Abdullah and his colleagues to stop shedding crocodile tears over detention of political activists on eve of Narender Modi’s visit to Kashmir and asked him to explain how his tenure was different than Mufti’s regime.
Immediately after his release from police detention, Er Rashid while talking to media persons on sidelines of daylong seminar at Law College Sopore yesterday appealed both PDP and NC not to add salt to injuries of Kashmiris and apologize for acting as proxies of successive Central Governments and state apparatus.
“Let us all remember that the language the NC is speaking today is the same which PDP used for the last six years,” he said. “Neither NC talked about its autonomy formula in six years, nor is PDP talking anything about so called self-rule.”
“Before accusing and abusing Mufti, let Omar Abdullah not forget that he acted as a collaborator in Afzal Guru’s killing and couldn’t even persuade New Delhi to hand over back the dead body of Afzal Guru,” Rashid said. “The least Omar Abdullah could have done would have been to resign from the CMs post.”
