2 Kashmiris thrashed in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Two engineering college students from Kashmir were beaten up by a gang of youth in Govindpuri area last night. The youth, identified as Mohammed Shakeel (22) and Muneeb Geelani (22), are from Srinagar. They were traveling in their Maruti Ritz when they were intercepted in the area by the gang who objected to their honking near Maa Anandamayee Marg. According to Muneeb a Scorpio SUV was following them and two unidentified men, aged around 25 years equipped with baseball bats came down of SUV and smashed the windshield of their Ritz. When we objected, the unidentified duo thrashed us with baseball bats and fled from the scene. The police arrived on the scene and took the duo to hospital. A case has been registered.
