Srinagar, Oct 26 (GNS): Shopkeepers of Qamria chowk staged protest after burglars smashed the shutters of three shops during the night in Dadurhamma area of central Kashmirs Ganderbal district.
Reports reaching GNS said that the burglars managed to take away goods and some cash from the shops of Javid ahmad Sheikh, Ghulam Qadir Waza and Samadullah.
The shopkeepers in the morning held a protest and demanded action against burglars.
Later the protesting shopkeepers disperse peacefully after assurance given by ADDC Gandebal and SHO Ganderbal Asif Iqbal that burglars will be put behind bars soon.
Meanwhile, Bazaar committee Ganderbal appealed Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Showkat Aijaz to look into the matter personally.
