Srinagar: A Group of Ministers (GoM) including Minister for Social Welfare and Forests Bali Bhagat, Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution and Tribal Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali, Minister for Transport Abdul Gani Kohli and Minister for Cooperative Chering Dorjey, Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmad Gurazi and Legislators Asgar Ali Karabalai, Raza Manzoor and Javid Ahmad Mirchal today called on Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and discussed the issue of reservation quota in promotions, which has been struck down by the State High Court, recently.
Referring to meeting with the Chief Minister, Bhagat that a memorandum was also presented to the Chief Minister in which GoM and Legislators unanimously requested to take measures to safeguard the interests of reserved categories.
