Army hands over PCs to Govt schools

Srinagar: Army in continuation of its efforts to assist needy children as part of ongoing project, under Sadbhavna, organised distribution of computers and accessories under the aegis of the Chinar Corps to various Schools at Srinagar, which includes Govt Boys High School, Sonwar, Govt Middle School, Bugam. Pahroo & Manchow and Govt Girls High School, Pandrethan.  

The distribution was carried out by  Gulam Mohd Bhatt, ZEO Budgam in a simple yet impressive ceremony held at Govt Middle School, Manchow organised by Army unit based at Srinagar.

The aim of the distribution of computers is to provide the basic knowledge of computer and enhance the computer literacy among local populace. The idea of e- literacy is to create an IT empowered society.
