SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Power, Mohammad Ashraf Mir said that 2 MW Karnah Hydroelectric Project is presently under operation.
This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Javaid Ahmad Michal in the Legislative Council today. The Minister said that J&K State Power Development Corporation Limited (JK SPDC) has prepared Pre-Feasibility Report (PFR) for upgradation of Karnah HEP from 2 MW to 12 MW.
The Minister said that a consultant has been engaged by JK State Power Development Corporation Limited for upgradation of Detailed Project Report of Karnah HEP. He said a draft DPR has been submitted by the consultant which is under appraisal. He said after preparation of final DPR further steps would be taken.
