Bill for social security of artisans introduced in LA

SRINAGAR: A Private Member’s Bill regarding social security and welfare measures for the state’s artisans was introduced in the Legislative Assembly today by M Y Tarigami, MLA.

Earlier, the Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga had opposed the “Bill to provide for the Social Security and Welfare of Artisans and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto (LA Private Members’ bill No.8 of 2015).”

However, the House accepted the Bill for discussion on the intervention of the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Bukhari.
