296344 homes without power in JK

Srinagar: In a power-rich Jammu and Kashmir, 296344 households are still reeling under darkness for the want of electricity, the government said on Monday.

Jammu has 187169, while Kashmir has 109175 such households.

In Kashmir, Kupwara has maximum (32577) while Ganderbal has minimum (4427) homes without electricity.

While in Jammu province, the winter capital (Jammu) has maximum (57986) while Udhampur has minimum (2183) homes lacking electricity.
