SRINAGAR : Police have detained a driver of Jammu and Kashmirs Banihal and seized a banned medicinal herb Nagchattri from his possession.
Identified as Mohammad Yasin, police said the man was arrested last evening after 14kg of banned rare medicinal herb (Nagchattri) worth Rs 4 crore was recovered from his possession in Manda area.
The man was arrested during surprise checking at Manda, the police official said. A car was intercepted and during search, 14kg of Nag Chatri which he had concealed in the vehicle was recovered.
