SRINAGAR: An inspection by a team of Labour Officers and Labour Inspectors, headed by Dy. Labour Commissioner, Kashmir and Assistant Labour Commissioner, Srinagar, was conducted for checking violations of closed day provisions by shops and establishments.
In this connection, shops found violating the closed day provisions were challaned on spot and fined to the tune of Rs. 15,900.
During the inspection, the employers of shops were warned to observe the closed day, whether Sunday, Friday or Tuesday, and in case of further violation on this account, they will be taken to task for such offences. Such drives shall continue in future also.
