ANANTNAG: A reported short-circuit triggered a major fire in Anantnag Thursday morning damaging four residential structures.
Reports said that the fire broke out at Malaknag Anantnag from the residential house of Mohd Amin Shah s/o Mohd Khalil Shah and it soon engulfed at least three neighboring houses.
The fire gutted the entire house with 3 others badly damaged in the neighborhood. The three- storey house of Parvaiz Ahmad Zargar s/o Mohd Ayoub Zargar, Ghulam Rasool Zargar s/o Ghulam Joo Zargar, Basharat Ahmad Zargar s/o Mohd Amin Zargar, were gutted in the fire.
Meanwhile eye witnesses told to Kashmir observer that the fire lasted for more than 2 hours and that the Fire and Emergency services swung in action and tried hard to put out the fire.
