Srinagar: Senior minister Altaf Bukhari inaugurated maiden branch of Muthoot Finance at Rajbagh here today.
Chairman and other senior functionaries of the Group besides a good number of political leaders and the locals were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated the initiative of the Finance Company and urged for opening more such branches in the Valley. Assuring full support from the Government in establishing more branches, the Minister said such an initiative will not only generate employment for educated youth but will empower people who need money for varied economic activities.
The people of the Valley are most industrious and honest, the Minister said and added that the company will not face any problem in hiring trusted people for manning its units in Kashmir. There is dearth of resources but not dearth of talent, he said adding the people engaged by the Company will exhibit highest degree of dedication and honesty while working with the business units of the Company.
Earlier, the Chairman, M G George Muthoot while highlighting the programmes of the Group said that it will assist people and Government in rebuilding flood damaged infrastructure in the Valley. He said Muthoot is running diversified business in finance, education, health and hospitality sectors.
