SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today announced 7 awards under Best Play script Competition scheme in Kashmiri, Dogri, Gojri, Pahari, Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi .
Dr. Javaid Rahi, Chief Editor and In charge officer of the Award Schemes stated that a panel of three Judges was constituted by the Academy to recommend the awards in each language.
In Gojri, Ch . Hassan Parwazs play Khakan ki Kuli was chosen the best by the Judges included Ch. Anwar Hussain , Ch K D Chopra and Ch Abdul Ghani Arif while in Pahari, Parvaiz Manoos got the best play script award for Navein loo judged by Nissar Rahi, Sh. Mohammad Sarwar Rehan and Sh. Azeem Khan
Dr. Baljeet Rainas Mera Qasour ki hai adguged best in Punjabi and the Judges were S Harbajan Singh Sagar , Mr. Khalid Hassain and Dr. Susheel Sharma.
In Urdu, Parvaiz Maliks play Wo Darwaza Khul Jaye ga got award and the judges were Prof. Assad ullah Wani Prof Qadous Javaid and S. Paritipal Singh Betab.
In Hindi, Chhatarpal play Agni adjudged Best on the recommendation of a panel of three judges included Prof. Chanchal Dogra , Dr. Om Gosawami and Dr. Nirmal Vinod
The Award carries a cash prize of Rs.10000/- a citation and a shawl.
