SRINAGAR: The Executive Committee of the J&K High Court Bar Association Srinagar, in its meeting Tuesday decided to oppose the establishment of Sainik Colony for ex-servicemen and other force personnel in Central Kashmirs Budgam District tooth and nail, as it was a nefarious design of BJP-RSS combine, with Governor of the State as their protégé and head of Sainik board to change the demography of the state and to use PDP for the said purpose.
The members unanimously agreed there was no need to establish such colonies even for those soldiers and ex-servicemen who were permanent residents of the State because they have their own houses wherein they are living along with their families and if for any reason anyone from them has no land to build his house he should have no difficulty in purchasing land at his native place for constructing his house.
