Srinagar: Rival groups of Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) have Tuesday taken a serious note of the manhandling of the hospital staff of the sub-district hospital Kangan by a local politician and his cohorts describing it as hooliganism.
Some half a dozen men reportedly barged into the premises of the Kangan hospital on Monday evening and manhandled the hospital staff there besides damaging the hospital property.
Incidents such these have become a routine affecting the work culture in the health centres, reads the statement issued by the DAK group headed by Dr. G.M. Mir.
Another group headed by Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan while condemning the incident said such episodes are a result of anarchy in the state perpetrated by miscreants enjoying political patronage. They have no fear of accountability and have made life of hospital staff miserable, he said.
