Srinagar: The first meeting of PDP and BJP governments Coordination Committee is scheduled to be held in Jammu later this evening.
Sources said the meeting would be held at the official residence of Chief Minister Mufti Mohamamd Sayeed at 8 pm. The meeting will be presided over by the BJP leader and Deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh and attended by all the members of the newly formed Coordination Committee.
A member of CC told KNS that in the first meeting issues in common minimum programme would be discussed and deliberated upon. The meeting would discuss how agenda for the alliance is implemented within the defined timeframe and all the policy issues adhered to in letter and spirit.
The ten-member Coordination Committee is headed by Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh while other members of the Committee include party presidents Mehbooba Mufti and Jugal Kishore, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh. Tariq Hamid Karra, Thusptan Chhewang and Shamsher Singh, Members of Parliament and Choudhary Lal Singh, Abdul Rehman Veeri and Naeem Akhter, Cabinet Ministers in the coalition Government.
