His replacement has not been yet found
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik Friday said advocate Jalil Andrabi was among the pioneers of present struggle and his replacement has not been yet found.
Besides being a worthy jurist, intellectual he was a courageous person who always cared and worked for the betterment of society and even sacrificed his life in the way of steadfastness, Malik said while remembering Andrabi on his anniversary.
Malik, who is admitted in Delhi hospital and is, undergoing treatment, said, Struggle and sacrifice given by this brother of ours has honored us and this nation can never forget his courage, passion and sacrifices. We are duty bound to continue the struggle for freedom that has been nourished by the sacred blood of our martyrs like Sahheed I Insaaf and no oppressive measures can deter us from this path.
Meanwhile, in connection with the anniversary of Indrabi, JKLF held a protest sit-in at Partap Park Lal Chowk today, a JKLF spokesperson said in a statement to KNS. The sit in led by zonal president Noor Mohammad Kalwal was attended by JKLF seniors and activists. The protest sit in was held as a show of solidarity with those languishing in Jammu Kashmir as well as Indians jails especially who are serving a life detention. On the occasion while speaking to media, Noor Mohammad Kalwal said that Indian government has unleashed an undemocratic and oppressive assault on Kashmiri inmates. Their days in incarceration are being prolonged by oppressive measures and they along with their families are being subjected to worst kind of state sponsored violence, he said.
